Starting Off With Faith

So, here we are. The Bader Family. Our very first professionally done family photo session. Why has it taken me until now to get our pictures taken in such a way? I'm not sure. It seems like our life really just started together based on a blessed change in lifestyle about 12 months ago.

This year, I thought I would start journaling. I used to journal when I was in my teens and early 20's. It was cathartic and always fun to go back and look at where I was during certain period of time. How I was feeling, who I was hanging out with, what my perspective on life was.

Now I am 46, my life is really good. A little "by the seat of my pants", but really good. I owe this to my growing faith. I have always been a believer, always shared the good and bad with God and ALWAYS knew his plan was already made for me so I rely on him to get me there.

When I was growing up, my Mom used to make us go to church. Not all the time, but a lot. Mainly though, my Mom helped me believe and understand that God was there, he had a plan and he loved me. Just that little bit of knowledge has stuck, so here I am.

My son Cole goes to a Christian School. He has since he was in preschool. It was really a fluke that he ended up where he is, but maybe not :)  When he was in Kindergarten we went on a field trip to the San Diego Zoo with his class. We carpooled with another Mom and her son and it was then I met my angel . . .  .Tristen.

I call her angel because she is the closest thing to it! Talking with Tristen, learning from Tristen, sharing with Tristen has helped my faith grow and mature. It's been an amazing journey. She is an amazing friend and person. Here all along, I thought I had it down being a Christian. In some ways I did, but having this "angel" in my life help me understand the true meaning of loving God and having a relationship with God. WOW, it's been an amazing journey and continues to be.

So starting off January 2012 with my first blog post, I pick "Growing" as my first subject. Because I have grown so much in my Faith and will continue to grow. I hope that all of you following along this year with me, will be able to see how Faith I believe changed my life and continues to make it better each and every day.
